Spooky Scary Slam TOMORROW!

Greetings and Good luck Poets!

This week we will be meeting Tomorrow, Wed the 30th, for the 2nd Annual Spooky Scary Slam!

The “Spooky Scary Slam”, is a Halloween themed poetry slam we’re planning to make a yearly tradition. We recruit judges, cater food, have gift card prizes, and everyone arrives in costume! There will be a costume contest at this event as well so make sure you’re brainstorming the most show-stopping outfit!

As many of you may have seen or heard, we have successfully covered all prizes (and then some) due to our generous sponsors! That means there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the slam, as well as a prize for best costume and another category TBD! Be on the lookout for that update.

Please show love to our sponsors as you may win a gift card to their location directly! This bridge allows us to support local businesses as they support the arts at UNI!

If you are competing in the slam tomorrow please be on the look out for a second email clarifying any frequently asked questions, giving more info on rules, and a recommended arrival time. This will also be an opportunity to confirm that you will be there and able to compete!
